Find answers to common authentication issues.
Sign in with OAuth provider doesn't work
This is most likely a settings issues from within the Supabase dashboard or in the provider's settings.
Please read Supabase's documentation on how to set up third-party providers.
Emails aren't sent
This issue may arise if you have not setup a send_email auth hook within Supabase.
As we're using custom auth hook to send emails via our API, you need to make sure you have set it up correctly.
Check how to setup auth hooks for more information.
Also, make sure that you correctly configured the email provider that you're using for your project.
Supabase redirects to locahost instead of my app URL
This is most likely an issue related to not having set up the Authentication URL in the Supabase settings as describe in the deployment guide.
Domain matters!
If your domain includes "www", ensure you include it in the Site URL and Redirect URLs. If your domain does not include "www", ensure you do not include it in the Site URL and Redirect URLs. If these do not match, your users will not be able to login.
